ISO/IEC Accredited Services

ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited Calibration Services

For organizations with demanding quality, regulatory, or measurement requirements, accredited calibration provides an additional level of confidence in the competence of the laboratory performing the work.

KELI Labs provides ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration services for capabilities included within our accredited scope, combining qualified personnel, controlled procedures, traceable standards, and documented measurement uncertainty.

What Is ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited Calibration?

ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard used to evaluate the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.

Accreditation demonstrates that a laboratory has been independently assessed for its ability to perform specific calibration activities in accordance with established technical and quality requirements.

Unlike a general quality certification, ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation evaluates the laboratory’s technical competence to perform the measurements included within its accredited scope.

What Does an Accredited Scope Mean?

ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation is scope-specific.

A laboratory’s scope of accreditation identifies the particular measurement disciplines, ranges, and Calibration and Measurement Capabilities (CMCs) for which the laboratory has demonstrated competence.

This means customers requiring accredited calibration should confirm that the specific calibration they need falls within the laboratory’s current accredited scope.

KELI Labs provides accredited calibration certificates when the requested service is performed within our applicable accredited capabilities.

Higher-Level Measurement Capabilities

Accredited calibration is particularly valuable when customers require a higher level of documented measurement data and technical assurance.

The calibration systems and reference standards used for accredited work are maintained within an established measurement system with documented traceability.

Our technicians perform these calibrations using approved procedures and equipment appropriate to the measurement being performed.

Measurement Uncertainty

Measurement uncertainty is an important part of accredited calibration.

No measurement is perfectly exact. Measurement uncertainty quantifies the range of values reasonably associated with a measurement result based on factors that can influence the measurement process.

For applicable accredited calibrations, measurement results are supported by evaluated measurement uncertainty in accordance with the laboratory’s accredited capabilities and reporting requirements.

Accredited Calibration Certificates

An accredited calibration certificate provides documented evidence of the calibration performed and is issued in accordance with the requirements applicable to the accredited service.

Depending on the calibration, the certificate may include measurement results, measurement uncertainty, traceability information, equipment identification, calibration conditions, reference standards, and applicable accreditation information.

These records can help customers demonstrate control of their measuring equipment during quality reviews, customer evaluations, and audits.

When Is Accredited Calibration Needed?

Accredited calibration may be required by a customer’s quality system, contract, industry requirements, regulatory expectations, or internal risk controls.

It is commonly requested by organizations operating in industries such as aviation, aerospace, defense, manufacturing, and other environments where reliable measurement data is critical to quality and compliance.

Not every application necessarily requires accredited calibration, so organizations should determine the appropriate service level based on their specific requirements.
